Executive Council Committee on the Diocese of Cuba
Resolution text
Resolved, That the Executive Council, meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina, April 18-20, 2024, recognize the pain our siblings in the Diocese of Cuba are experiencing in facing increased tariffs, cost of living, and inflation.
Resolved, That a group comprised of two members from the Joint Standing Committee on Mission Within The Episcopal Church, two members from the Joint Standing Committee on Finance, representatives from the Diocese of Cuba, and relevant members of Presiding Bishop’s staff, will meet to study the needs of Cuba and its evolving financial realities. This Executive Council Committee will consult with appropriate experts and make recommendations for practical solutions regarding the funding request received by the Executive Council. The Committee will send recommendations to the Transitional Executive Committee by June 15, 2024.
