Resolution EC 016

Resolved, that pursuant to Executive Council Bylaw Rule VIII.2.(c) the Executive Council creates an Executive Officer Review Committee (“Committee”) to examine the role, function, and canonical structure of the position of the executive officer of General Convention; and be it further

Resolved, that the Committee shall be composed of not less than three (3) members of the Executive Council and shall report on its progress and any recommendations to the Executive Council and shall continue its work and existence until an act of the Executive Council.

Resuelve que, de conformidad con la Regla VIII.2.(c) del Reglamento del Consejo Ejecutivo, el Consejo Ejecutivo cree un Comité de Revisión del Cargo de Funcionario Ejecutivo («Comité») para examinar el papel, la función y la estructura canónica del cargo de funcionario ejecutivo de la Convención General; y que además

Resuélvase, que el Comité estará compuesto por no menos de tres (3) miembros del Consejo Ejecutivo e informará sobre su progreso y cualesquiera recomendaciones al Consejo Ejecutivo y continuará su trabajo y existencia hasta una ley del Consejo Ejecutivo.

In keeping with the process that former Presiding Bishop Curry and President Ayala Harris outlined last spring, we need a committee to look at the role, function and canonical structure of the position of the executive officer of General Convention. This is not a search committee. Before we fill the position, we need to know what we are looking for, and this committee will help us clarify that.

De acuerdo con el proceso que el ex Obispo Presidente Curry y el Presidente Ayala Harris esbozaron la primavera pasada, necesitamos un comité que examine el papel, la función y la estructura canónica del cargo de funcionario ejecutivo de la Convención General. No se trata de un comité de búsqueda. Antes de cubrir el puesto, necesitamos saber qué estamos buscando, y este comité nos ayudará a aclararlo.
