Resolved, that the $90,900, allocated in line 431a of the General Convention budget for 2023 – 2024, be transferred to a reserve account for future use consistent with GC80 Resolution B002; and be it further
Resolved, that in the funds will revert to the Society’s unrestricted Reserves should the position not be filled by December 31, 2027.
Explanation
General Convention Resolution B002 (2022) was concurred and a budget allocation of $90,900 was included to provide funds for two consecutive years for an ophthalmologist to serve in a senior capacity at the Ras Morbat Clinic Christ Church, Aden, Yemen. Due to continuing conflicts in Yemen, the post has not been filled. The request will ensure that funding is available when the is filled.
